As the transfer window heats up, there are several changes in Chelsea’s loan arrangements.

The club has announced that Zak Sturge, a defender, has come back to Chelsea after a brief loan stint at Peterborough United, a League One team.

Meanwhile, Alex Matos, a regular in Pochettino’s squad, will go on loan to Huddersfield for the rest of the season. The Telegraph has confirmed this move. Pochettino has praised Matos’ potential, but he has only played for Chelsea twice, for a total of 4 minutes, as a substitute against Fulham and Blackburn.

The Telegraph also reported that Chelsea has ended Andrey Santos’ loan spell at Nottingham Forest. The Brazilian only played once in the Premier League for the midlands club.

Chelsea bought Andrey for about £18m last year from Vasco da Gama, a Brazilian club. He joined Nottingham Forest on the last day of the transfer window, after going on Chelsea’s US tour. The move was a disaster
