Chelsea: Moises Caicedo finally shows some steel as Noni Madueke steps up

Chelsea did a really good job coming back strong against Aston Villa, but they felt sad when the VAR said their last-minute goal didn’t count.

People were really mad at Villa Park. Noni Madueke and Benoit Badiashile got in trouble for yelling at the referee Craig Pawson after the game.

Pawson said no to Axel Disasi’s goal because he thought Badiashile did something wrong to Diego Carlos before that.

Before that, though, Madueke and Conor Gallagher scored great goals with their left feet in the second half, which helped Chelsea when they were losing 2-0.

Those goals canceled out Marc Cucurella’s mistake and a goal from Morgan Rogers just before halftime.

Even though Chelsea lost badly to Arsenal recently and had lots of injured players, they showed they’re tough and can fight back. But there’s not much time left, only five games left to play.

Moises Caicedo played really well at Villa Park before, and this time too. He was better than everyone else.

He was good at staying in the right spots and was amazing with the ball. He was like Jorginho, controlling how fast the game went and making really good passes. He helped set up Nicolas Jackson’s goal, but it didn’t count because the ref said it was offside.

Some people have been saying bad things about Caicedo since he joined for a lot of money, but he did great against Douglas Luiz and John McGinn from Villa.

Noni Madueke did great when Cole Palmer wasn’t doing so well. Just like he did in another game, he scored an important goal with his left foot.

In the first half, he gave the ball away a lot, but he got better as the game went on. Nicolas Jackson missed a big chance earlier, and Palmer wasn’t playing his best, maybe because he was sick earlier in the week. But when Palmer isn’t doing well, Madueke usually steps up.

Mykhailo Mudryk didn’t do so well at Villa. He was really bad against Arsenal too. He missed the goal twice, had trouble with the ball, and couldn’t make easy passes.

He seems like he’s not feeling confident and maybe doesn’t want to play right now.
