Nicolas Jackson makes Chelsea vow amid struggles in front of goal: ‘I miss a lot’

Nicolas Jackson says he’s sure he’ll start scoring more goals soon. He admits he’s had plenty of chances to score for Chelsea this season.

He’s 22 and has scored ten times in the Premier League since he joined English football. But lately, he’s only scored once in the last eight games in all competitions.

Last summer, Jackson came to Stamford Bridge from Villarreal for £32 million. He signed up for eight years. But he’s not been playing his best in a Chelsea team that’s been struggling.

Chelsea is ninth in the Premier League, and they might not make it to European football next season. This is surprising because they’ve been spending a lot of money on new players recently.

Jackson’s been criticized for not scoring enough, especially after the FA Cup game against Manchester City. He missed a lot of chances to help Chelsea win that game. He’s disappointed about how the season has gone, both for himself and the team.

He told Sky Sports, “I think I should have scored more with the chances I missed. It’s good, but not what I wanted when I came here – to play Champions League next season. Everything happens for a reason, and we’ll try to do better next year.

He also said, “Even if I scored 10 or 15 goals, the most important thing is for the team to do well and make the fans happy. Then the goals will come.”

He’s focused on getting better every day and helping the team more. He knows he’s missed a lot of chances but wants to create more opportunities and score more goals next season.

Another player, Moises Caicedo, also signed an eight-year contract with Chelsea last summer. He came from Brighton for over £100 million.

Only Conor Gallagher has played more games for Chelsea in all competitions than Caicedo. He’s hopeful for more success next season.

It’s been really tough sometimes, because you know it’s a young squad, Caicedo said. We are learning every day, every game. We played one final and a semi-final. Maybe next season it will be better… we want to win trophies.
