Fran Kirby, the star player of the Lionesses, has said that she’ll be leaving Chelsea after this season ends.

She’s been playing with Chelsea for nine years and has had a lot of success with them. She scored 115 goals in 205 games and helped Chelsea win 15 trophies, including six Women’s Super League titles.

But, she doesn’t have a contract after this season, so she’s confirmed she’s moving on.

In a video saying goodbye to Chelsea fans, Kirby got emotional. She said, “Leaving with the trophies I’ve won and the amazing teammates I’ve played with has been one of the biggest honors of my life.”

Kirby explained that she always wanted to win, and Chelsea shared that ambition. That’s why she joined them. She believed Chelsea could help her achieve her goals.

“Since I was young, I’ve had this drive to be the best and to win. Personal awards were never my main focus; I just wanted to win and push myself to my limits,” Kirby said.

She thanked everyone who supported her, especially during tough times like when she was sick or injured. She mentioned that her teammates and the people around her played a big role in her success.

Kirby also talked about how the club has grown since she joined, with more fans and support. She’s seen the journey from playing in smaller stadiums to now playing in front of a packed Stamford Bridge.

She thanked the fans for embracing her from the start, helping her through tough times, and celebrating the good times with her. She hopes she’s left a legacy that everyone can be proud of.
