Stamford Bridge becoming a fortress for Chelsea as Mauricio Pochettino’s side produce season-best football

Chelsea is really stepping up their game lately! Everyone’s talking about whether Mauricio Pochettino, their manager, will keep his job. It all started with a terrible 5-0 loss to Arsenal. People were doubting if Pochettino was the right guy for the job at Stamford Bridge.

But hold on, things have turned around! They crushed West Ham 5-0 and then dominated against Tottenham with a 2-0 win. Goals came from Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher, Noni Madueke, and Nicolas Jackson. Pochettino’s looking good now, and Chelsea’s got their eyes set on European qualification.

Let’s talk about Cole Palmer—he’s been on fire! He went three games without scoring, but he’s back at it. He scored his 26th goal of the season against West Ham, plus he’s got 13 assists. That’s impressive stuff! Jackson’s also been killing it, matching Didier Drogba’s debut season goal record.

And Stamford Bridge? It’s turning into a fortress again. Chelsea hasn’t lost a game there since February. They’ve won nine out of their last 11 home matches and have only lost once in 19 games overall.

But, there’s a little hiccup. Two of their next three games are away matches against Nottingham Forest and Brighton. Then they’ve got a home game against Bournemouth.

The defense is also shaping up. Players like Marc Cucurella, Benoit Badiashile, Thiago Silva, and Trevoh Chalobah are stepping up big time. They’ve even managed two clean sheets in a row, something they haven’t done since February 2023.

With players returning from injury like Silva, Christopher Nkunku, Malo Gusto, Levi Colwill, Axel Disasi, and Raheem Sterling, Chelsea’s looking strong. They might just make it to Europe, maybe even the Europa League!
