He’s been a crucial part of Chelsea since he joined them in 2020, contributing to their success, including winning the Champions League in 2021.

Recognized as Chelsea’s Player of the Year in 2023, Silva has been a regular player, making more than 150 appearances for the team. Now, at 39 years old, he’s ready to go back to where it all started for him – Fluminense.

Fluminense, his childhood club, has announced his return with excitement, mentioning, “The Monster is back.” Silva has signed a contract with them until 2026.

Chelsea has agreed to let Silva leave early to join Fluminense, and he will play his final game for Chelsea against Bournemouth next week. After that, he’ll start training with Fluminense, but he won’t be able to play until the transfer window opens in July.

In their announcement, Fluminense mentioned that Silva will join their squad in Rio de Janeiro about a month later after his contract with Chelsea ends. He’ll have to complete some formalities before he can officially play for Fluminense, and his debut with the team is expected to be in July.
