The boss of Chelsea, Mauricio Pochettino, seems happy these days because his team is playing better.

He mentioned Coldplay lyrics to explain why he wants to stay positive but not ask for fake support from Chelsea fans.

Only Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool have earned more points than Chelsea since Boxing Day.

Even though Pochettino has helped his team get back in the race for Europe, he’s still unsure about his future as manager and is finding it hard to win over some fans.

When asked if Chelsea’s season has been good or bad, Pochettino said: “We got punished because we didn’t start the season well. I want to focus on being positive from next season and not talk about being a young team or injuries anymore.”

He compared their situation to a Coldplay song called “Fix You”, saying they feel like they’re stuck going backward sometimes.

Pochettino got happy when a journalist shared stats about Chelsea’s recent games. They’re currently seventh in the league, tied with Newcastle.

He explained what he wants from the fans, saying he doesn’t want fake support. He believes in building a genuine connection with them over time.

Pochettino said it was tough at the start when he was at Tottenham, and he doesn’t believe in pretending to love the club just for show. He wants fans to support the team sincerely, not because they’re told to.

He cares about the fans, the owner, the club, and the players, but he values honesty in their relationship more than anything else. He’s in football because he loves it, and he doesn’t want to pretend to feel something he doesn’t.
