Chelsea’s midfielder, Conor Gallagher, is thrilled about the chance to work with the new manager, Enzo Maresca, even though there’s a lot of talk about whether he’ll stay with the team.

Chelsea just announced that Maresca, who used to manage Leicester, is taking over for Mauricio Pochettino with a five-year deal.

Pochettino leaving might make things tricky for Gallagher. We’ve heard that Pochettino really wanted to keep him on the team. But the big bosses at Chelsea might be okay with selling Gallagher and another local talent, Trevoh Chalobah.

Gallagher loves Chelsea—it’s the team he grew up with. But his contract is almost up, and Tottenham is showing interest in him.

After playing for England against Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gallagher said to Sky Sports that he’s super excited about Maresca joining. He’s only heard and seen great things, and he’s not the only one—all of Chelsea is looking forward to working with Maresca.

Since new owners took over Chelsea in May 2022, they’ve spent a huge amount of money on new players, but they’ve also made a lot from selling players. They have to follow the Premier League’s money rules, and there’s a big check-up coming on June 30.

Chelsea is ready to support Maresca and is aiming to bring in four big players. Maresca won’t be the one deciding on transfers, but he’ll have a say. They’re looking to add a goalkeeper, a defender, a left-back, and a forward.

Tosin Adarabioyo is about to join Chelsea for free from Fulham, after Chelsea stepped in before Newcastle could sign him.

Chelsea is also really interested in RB Leipzig’s forward, Benjamin Sesko, who Arsenal is also thinking about signing.
