John Duran Eyes Chelsea Transfer as Blues Weigh Striker Options

John Duran, a young player from Aston Villa, is really looking forward to possibly joining Chelsea. Right now, discussions are paused.

Duran is doing well at Villa and likes it there, but he’s also pretty excited about the idea of playing for Chelsea.

Chelsea seems pretty sure they can make a deal with Villa for Duran, who’s 20 years old, if they decide he’s the striker they want this summer.

Duran thinks he’d fit in well at Chelsea and likes the direction the club is going, especially with Enzo Maresca as the new head coach.

He’s also up for the challenge of playing with Nicolas Jackson at Chelsea, both as teammates and as friendly rivals.

Last season, Duran scored eight goals for Villa after joining them in January 2023 for £14.75 million from Chicago Fire.

Chelsea doesn’t usually do swap deals when buying players, but Villa has shown interest in some of Chelsea’s players this summer.

The two clubs get along well, so they’ll probably find a way to make a deal without too much trouble.

Villa really wants Conor Gallagher from Chelsea. He’s an England midfielder who came up through Chelsea’s youth program. Unai Emery, Villa’s manager, thinks highly of him and wants him on his team.

But Gallagher wants to stay at Chelsea. He’s done well there, especially under Maurico Pochettino, even leading the team as captain 30 times last season.
