Tottenham Fears Rise as Chelsea Holds Firm on Gallagher Transfer

Conor Gallagher, the second-in-command at Chelsea’s team, is hoping that a good performance at the Euros with England will make Chelsea reconsider his role.

Tottenham, along with Atletico Madrid and Aston Villa, really want to sign Gallagher. Chelsea is open to selling him, but Gallagher loves his team and wants to stay and prove himself.

Right now, he’s focused on playing for England at Euro 2024 and isn’t thinking about his club future until after the tournament.

Gallagher’s contract with Chelsea ends next year, and the club might sell him to keep their finances in check. If they sell Gallagher, who came from their own training program, they’ll make a profit which helps them follow the league’s money rules.

Chelsea says they’re okay with these rules, even though they might sell some other players too, like Trevoh Chalobah who Fulham is interested in.

Gallagher played as a substitute in England’s first game of the Euros against Serbia, which they won 1-0. He’s hoping to play more in the next game against Denmark.

He thinks if he plays well in the Euros, it might help him back at Chelsea. Last season, Mauricio Pochettino trusted him a lot and made him captain many times.

With a new coach coming to Chelsea, Enzo Maresca, things might change. But Gallagher wants to show Maresca that he’s good enough to stay for a long time.

Chelsea’s bosses and directors will decide on transfers, but Maresca will have a say too. Gallagher has been reliable and skilled so far, and he believes he can prove his worth again next season.
