Galatasaray Defender, Sacha Boey is on Arsenal’s transfer radar this summer

Sacha Boey, who is wanted by Arsenal, will cost more than €20 million to acquire from Galatasaray this summer.

The France Under-20 international has had a standout season for the Turkish Super Lig, and several European clubs are very interested in signing him.

Mikel Arteta is eager to bolster his full-back group this summer after being forced to use Thomas Partey as a makeshift right-back in the waning weeks of the previous campaign.

In contrast, after Oleksandr Zinchenko’s most recent injury, January signing Jakub Kiwior was also expected to play in a new position for the final two games of the season.

Takehiro Tomiyasu won’t be able to play again until after the start of the following season after suffering a catastrophic knee injury, while Kieran Tierney’s departure due to poor play seems increasingly inevitable.

Tierney, who was once viewed as a potential club captain, has suffered as a result of Arteta’s choice to use Zinchenko as an inverted full-back.

Newcastle wants to recruit the Scotland international, but Aston Villa will be a fierce rival, hoping that Unai Emery, who signed Tierney for Arsenal, will have the final say.

Nuno Tavares, on the other hand, is scheduled to return after a fruitless loan stint with Marseille and is likely to be sold for a modest profit over the £7.5 million that Arsenal paid to get him from Benfica over two years ago.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Boey is a player that Arsenal admires, but they haven’t had any formal negotiations with Galatasaray or spoken with his new agents.
