Jackson joins up with Senegal team ahead of AFCON

Nicolas Jackson, the Chelsea striker, has reported to the Senegal camp for the upcoming AFCON.

The tournament runs from January 13th to February 11th. Jackson will be unavailable for any matches during this period.

The official Senegal account shared a photo of Jackson training with his teammates.

Jackson will definitely miss Chelsea’s Premier League game against Fulham on January 24th, when the group stages end. Fulham will also likely miss Bassey, Iwobi and Ballo-Toure that day.

Jackson will also sit out both Carabao Cup semi-finals and the FA Cup this weekend.

Possible games Jackson will miss: Preston (H), Middlesbrough (A), Fulham (H), Middlesbrough (H), FA Cup R4*, Liverpool (A), Wolves (H), Crystal Palace (A).
