After Chelsea’s impressive 4-0 win over Preston North End, Pochettino shared his views with the media. Broja, Madueke, Silva and Enzo scored four goals in the second half, putting the blues in a good position for the draw on Monday night.

Pochettino was not happy with the first half performance and made it clear to the press. He said to the BBC; “We were very sloppy in the first half and I was not pleased. I asked the players to raise their energy and match Preston’s intensity at half-time.”

Chelsea responded well and scored four goals in the second half. Pochettino was satisfied with the improvement,“We played a totally different game in the second half. We controlled the game, created opportunities and won deservedly. We lacked motivation in the first half and we were too concerned about their energy. They outplayed us in that aspect. I was very frustrated but we stepped up our game and played well and earned the win.”

Pochettino also said he hopes to return to Stamford Bridge for the next round.”
