The transfer window is about to see its first big exit from Chelsea.
One of the players whose future is uncertain is nearing the end of his Chelsea career. Ian Maatsen is on the verge of leaving Stamford Bridge.
The reliable Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the news with his signature ‘here we go’ tweet. The Dutch defender will move to Borussia Dortmund on loan and they will pay his wages.
The loan deal has an interesting twist. Maatsen has played 12 times for Pochettino this season, mostly as a substitute, and his Chelsea contract expires in 18 months.
Does this mean Chelsea will look for a new fullback?
