Chelsea send scouts to watch AZ Alkmaar forward – The Standard

The transfer window is almost one-third over and the blues seem less likely to make a move in the market as time goes by.

The club needs a forward, as Jackson is at AFCON, Nkunku is injured and Broja is inconsistent. But the problem is that the top-quality forwards are not available in January.

The Standard reports that Chelsea have been scouting Vangelis Pavlidis, the Greek and AZ Alkmaar forward, in recent weeks.

Fulham, their West London rivals, are also interested in Pavlidis, along with Barcelona and AC Milan, who are watching the Eredivisie forward.

Pavlidis has netted 18 goals this season.
