Kepa Arrizabalaga’s future at Chelsea is uncertain, as he faces a possible return from his loan spell at Real Madrid on July 1st. His recent performance has raised concerns in Madrid, and two UK media outlets have suggested that he may not stay in Spain for long.

According to Andy Dillon from The Sun, Kepa is feeling ‘nervous’ about his situation and wants to continue playing in Spain. A Sun Sport source claimed that the 29 year old ‘will not give up.’

Nizaar Kinsella from the Standard corroborated this story, reporting that Real Madrid are not keen on keeping Kepa beyond this season.

This could create a dilemma for Chelsea, who already have Sanchez, Petrovic, Slonina and Kepa as their goalkeepers. This could cast doubt on the club’s strategy and vision for their custodians.

Kepa has only 18 months left on his contract with Chelsea.
