A year ago today, Chelsea made a major move in their squad overhaul by signing Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk for a whopping £88.5m (including add ons).

Mudryk had a slow start to his Chelsea career, but he has turned things around in the last three months.

The Ukrainian star netted his first Premier League goal for the blues in a 2-0 win over Fulham in October. He followed that up with a goal against Arsenal in a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Mudryk shone in December, earning a crucial penalty in a 3-2 win over Brighton and assisting a goal in a 2-1 loss at Old Trafford.

Mudryk’s finest hour came just before Christmas, when he scored a dramatic equaliser and a penalty against Newcastle to send Chelsea to the Carabao Cup semi-final.

Mudryk continued his good form with a goal in a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on December 27th. He is taking his time, but Mudryk is definitely improving in a Chelsea shirt.
