Chelsea fans have a reason to smile after their team’s narrow win over Fulham in the derby. The victory was not only important for the points, but also for the return of one of their key players: Ben Chilwell.

The left-back, who is also the vice-captain of the club, has been sidelined for most of the season due to a hamstring injury. He suffered the setback in the Carabao Cup match against Brighton, which Chelsea won 1-0. Since then, he has missed 18 games in all competitions.

But now, he is back in action and ready to help his team in the crucial stages of the season. He spoke to the club website about his recovery and his hopes for the future.

“I think we are starting to turn a corner a little bit now,” he said. “We’re eight unbeaten at the Bridge now and beating Fulham, in a local derby, gives us real momentum ahead of a big game against Middlesbrough in the cup semi-final.”

Chilwell also praised the fans for their support and urged them to keep cheering for the team. He said, “I’m sure the fans will be right behind us as they always are and it’s a big opportunity for us to create another special night under the lights at Stamford Bridge.”

Chelsea have a busy schedule ahead of them, as they face Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup semi-final next week, followed by a home game against Aston Villa on Friday. With Chilwell back in the fold, they will hope to continue their winning run and challenge for the trophies.
