Chelsea fans have a lot to be excited about as their team enjoys a winter break. Two of their star players, Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, have been in sensational form this season, forming a formidable midfield duo.
Enzo, who joined Chelsea last year after winning the World Cup with Argentina, has been full of praise for his partner, who arrived from Ecuador for a record-breaking fee in the summer.
In an interview with SportsCentre, Enzo revealed the secret behind their chemistry on and off the pitch.
“We have a great bond, we are good friends outside the field. When we play, we communicate with each other very well, we know what the other one is thinking with just a look.”
Enzo also credited Chelsea’s manager, Mauricio Pochettino, for giving them the freedom to express themselves on the field.
“Pochettino gives us a lot of liberty on the court. I play in a position where I can be more adventurous with Caicedo by my side. The way we play allows me to get into the box more often.”
Enzo added, “It is an honor to play with Caicedo.”
Chelsea will be looking to continue their impressive run of form in the next week, as they face Middlesbrough and Aston Villa in two cup competitions. With Enzo and Caicedo in the middle, they have a good chance of lifting some silverware this season.
