Maatsen speaks out over future

Ian Maatsen has made a great impression at Borussia Dortmund since joining them on loan from Chelsea.
The Dutch defender has helped his team win two games in a row and provided an assist in his latest match. The German press is speculating that he might want to stay in the Bundesliga longer.
Maatsen said to Sky Germany’s Patrick Berger after the win on Saturday, “I would like to return in the summer. Why not? But we’ll see what the future holds.”
Maatsen signed a new contract with Chelsea before leaving on loan, which includes a £35m buyout clause. Any team interested in signing him as a left back can pay that amount to get him.
Chelsea might have mixed feelings about this, as they also need a left back. Maatsen’s performances might make him a bargain at £35m.
