Drury also defended Chelsea’s winger, Mykhailo Mudryk, in one of the segments. Drury believes that the Ukrainian star has the potential to succeed at Stamford Bridge.

He said to The Byline, “I still have faith in Mudryk and I know some people might be sceptical about that.

But you have to realise that he is a very young player who has moved from one football environment to another, from a country that is facing a lot of problems to ours, leaving behind his family and personal issues.”

Drury urged the Chelsea fans to support Mudryk, especially when he is struggling. He said to The Byline, “I really wish that Chelsea fans would be more patient and understanding with him, even in the next few months because it might take him longer to adapt and learn.

He is obviously a great athlete, he is very determined and ambitious, he wants to do well and I am sure that in time he will be a star.”

Mudryk has netted four goals in all competitions this season for Chelsea, including a crucial equaliser against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup. Drury was also the commentator when Mudryk scored his first Premier League goal against Fulham.
