Steve Nicol was not happy with one of Chelsea’s players after they lost 4-2 to Wolves yesterday.
Mykhailo Mudryk came on in the second half and helped Thiago Silva score a late goal. But Steve Nicol, on ESPN FC, wondered what Mudryk really does for Chelsea.
He only has two assists and three goals in the Premier League this season. Steve Nicol thinks Mykhailo Mudryk is only fast Nicol said that Mudryk only has speed and nothing else.
He said after the Wolves game: “Look at Mudryk. €70m right, can anyone tell me, besides being very fast, what he is good at in football?” Does Mykhailo Mudryk have any other skills besides speed? Some people might think this is too harsh, but Mudryk needs to do better in the final part of the field. Otherwise, people will think he is just a fast player with no skills.
Luckily, the Ukrainian is still young. He is only 23 years old. He can improve and score more goals and make more assists.
If he does that, with his speed, he could be a very good player for Chelsea. But until then, people will watch him closely, because he cost Chelsea a lot of money.
He is supposed to score and create goals, but he has not done that since he joined Chelsea in January 2023.
