Everyone knows that Emma Hayes, who has won the Women’s Super League six times and is currently managing Chelsea Women, will be leaving the club after this season. Now, people are wondering who will step into her shoes.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea Women have offered a contract to Sonia Bompastor, who is currently the head coach of Lyon, to replace Emma Hayes when she leaves. Bompastor has a strong track record, having won the Champions League both as a player and as a manager.

Although Chelsea is keen on Bompastor, nothing has been finalized yet, and negotiations are still ongoing. It’s worth mentioning that Bompastor is under contract with Lyon until 2026.
