The new report on injuries before the Carabao Cup Final against Liverpool is out, and it’s not looking much different from after the 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

Chelsea has been having a tough time with injuries all season, and it’s not letting up. Before the big game with Liverpool, they’re missing 7 players, maybe 8 if Thiago Silva can’t recover in time.

The latest addition to the injury list is Carney Chukwuemeka, who twisted his ankle, as confirmed by Pochettino in a press conference last week.

Thiago Silva is also on the list after being subbed off in Chelsea’s win over Crystal Palace. He’s trying hard to be fit for Sunday.

Chelsea’s still missing Cucurella, James, Fofana, Lavia, Badiashile, and Ugochukwu according to the club’s website.

On the Liverpool side, Alisson, Jota, Alexander-Arnold, Jones, Thiago, Matip, and Bajcetic won’t be playing in the Carabao Cup Final. Szoboszlai, Nunez, and Salah might make it, but they’re undergoing late fitness tests.

Liverpool’s assistant, Pep Lijnders, didn’t rule out the possibility of those three playing, saying, “We have two more sessions, two days. We will check if they can be there.”

If those three can’t make it, Liverpool could be missing up to ten players for the final.
