Thiago Silva and Marc Cucurella from Chelsea were both in training with part of the team on Friday before the Carabao Cup final this weekend.

Silva, an experienced defender, didn’t play in last week’s Premier League match against Manchester City because he hurt his groin in the game before that. He might be able to play against Liverpool on Sunday, as he trained partially with the team on Friday.

Cucurella, a Spanish player, has been recovering from an ankle injury and joined some training on Friday. It’s uncertain if he’ll be able to play in the final.

Some other players like Benoit Badiashile and Romeo Lavia were training separately and won’t be playing. Chelsea has a few more players out due to injuries, but Robert Sanchez is back and might play as goalkeeper.

Liverpool also has several players injured, including important ones like Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota. Some others like Mohamed Salah will have late fitness tests before the game.
