Loanee to return from Spain in Summer

It’s pretty clear that loan deals haven’t gone well for Chelsea this season. Players like Andrey Santos and Cesare Casadei were brought back from their loan spells early for a few reasons.

One player, in particular, started off well at Real Madrid but has been struggling lately.

Kepa Arrizabalaga was sent on loan to Real Madrid because their main goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, was injured. Kepa arrived in August 2023 and initially seemed keen to stay with the Spanish team even after his one-year loan ended.

But things haven’t gone smoothly. He’s only played 12 games in the league, and his last appearance was back in January when they won against Almeria after being behind 2-0. Now, reports suggest that despite Kepa wanting to stay, Real Madrid doesn’t want to keep him after the 2023-2024 season.

There’s uncertainty about what’s next for Kepa. Reports say Chelsea doesn’t want him either and plans to sell him instead.

With the Euros coming up this summer, what lies ahead for Kepa?
