Napoli tell Chelsea how much Osimhen will cost amid Arsenal interest

Napoli wants a lot of money, £113 million, if Chelsea wants to buy Victor Osimhen this summer.

Chelsea needs a new striker, and Osimhen is one of the main options they’re looking at.

The boss of Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis, said yesterday that he can’t stop Osimhen from leaving, but he’s known as a tough negotiator. He won’t agree to sell for anything less than the full £113 million mentioned in the contract signed in December.

Chelsea might struggle to pay that much, especially if they don’t make it to European competitions for the second year in a row. They also need a center-back and a left-back.

The rules about making a profit in the Premier League mean Chelsea has to be careful with their spending. Some say they need to sell players worth £100 million by June 30 to avoid getting in trouble, but Chelsea denies this. They did have a big loss last season, but they’re allowed to lose up to £105 million over three years.

Selling players could help Chelsea afford Osimhen. He’s their top priority after they lost the Carabao Cup final because they couldn’t score enough goals.

Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal might also want to sign Osimhen.

Arsenal is looking at different attackers as they try to win the title. PSG wants Osimhen to replace Kylian Mbappe, who’s moving to Real Madrid. PSG will save a lot of money by letting Mbappe go.

PSG has been able to sign some players Chelsea wanted before because they can pay higher wages.

If Chelsea can’t get Osimhen, they have other players in mind, like Ivan Toney from Brentford and Evan Ferguson from Brighton.
