Chelsea boost as star man’s injury fears eased ahead of Man Utd clash

Hey there! So, Chelsea is hoping that Malo Gusto will be back in action for their match against Manchester United on Thursday night.

During their last game against Burnley, Gusto had to leave the field in the 87th minute because he was feeling some cramps. Luckily, it seems like he hasn’t got any serious injury, and the team’s been taking care of him at the training ground.

The coach, Mauricio Pochettino, will decide whether Gusto is fit enough to start the game against United. This is good news for Chelsea because their captain, Reece James, is still recovering from a hamstring surgery he had in December.

If Gusto can’t play, a young player named Alfie Gilchrist might step in for him. Gilchrist just signed a contract extension until 2026, which is great for him and the team.

Sometimes when players get injured, others have to step up. Axel Disasi and Marc Cucurella have filled in at right-back before when needed.

And speaking of injuries, Ben Chilwell and Trevoh Chalobah are also eager to get back on the field. Chilwell got a knock while playing for England, and Chalobah had a minor injury last week.

Unfortunately, Levi Colwill is still out with a toe problem, but he’s hoping to be back for the game against Everton in about 12 days. That’s just before the big FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.

Their goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez, is also expected to return soon, but for now, he’ll probably be on the bench as a backup.

It’s been a tough season for Chelsea, with lots of players getting injured. Coach Pochettino hasn’t had an easy time picking his starting lineup because of all these injuries. But hopefully, things will get better soon, and they’ll climb back up the Premier League table.
