Ex-Chelsea boss Potter in talks with Euro giants amid Man Utd interest

Graham Potter, a coach who used to manage Chelsea, has been talking with Ajax about coming back to coaching with them. Ajax is a big soccer team in the Netherlands, but they’re having a tough time right now.

Potter hasn’t had a coaching job since Chelsea let him go about a year ago. He had a hard time there for about seven months.

Now, Potter is ready to start working again. Ajax is thinking about hiring him for next season, but nothing’s certain yet. Ajax’s current temporary coach, John van’t Schip, will be leaving at the end of this season.

Potter has been talking with the top people at Ajax, but we don’t know if he’ll say yes. Ajax is having a tough season. Just last Saturday, they got beaten really badly by their rivals Feyenoord, 6-0. They’re not doing well in the league either; they’re in sixth place. And there’s been some trouble off the field too. Their new boss got suspended because of some financial issues.

Potter is eager to get back into coaching, but he wants the right job. He’s been talking to lots of clubs and even some national teams in Europe. He turned down offers from Lyon and the Swedish national team before. And now, it looks like Manchester United might be interested in him. They’re not sure about their current coach’s future, so Potter’s name has come up. Potter and Dan Ashworth, who’s going to be in charge of sports at Manchester United soon, worked together at Brighton before.

Even though Potter’s time at Chelsea wasn’t great, he’s still seen as a good coach. Chelsea is still struggling this season under their new coach, Mauricio Pochettino.
