Leandro Trossard moved to Arsenal from Brighton in the January transfer window

Leandro Trossard, a star for Arsenal, is reportedly out of the Belgium team following a minor procedure.

The 28-year-old provided 10 assists and a goal in his first 22 outings for the club after moving from Brighton to the Gunners in the January transfer window for £27 million.

Trossard has 26 Belgium caps and was a member of the Red Devils’ squads for both the World Cup in Qatar last year and Euro 2020.

He was expected to join his international teammates for the June 17 and June 20 qualifiers against Austria and Estonia, respectively.

Trossard, though, won’t play for Belgium this month as he works to fully heal from a minor operation and get ready for the start of Arsenal’s preseason.

The versatile attacker Trossard suffered a groin injury in the 3-2 victory over AFC Bournemouth in March, and while making a speedy recovery, manager Mikel Arteta warned that the condition might last till the end of the year.

The biggest difference between Arsenal and eventual Premier League champions Manchester City, according to Jamie Carragher, is the fact that Trossard is the only player on the Arsenal roster who can ‘transform a game’ when he comes off the bench.

Despite topping the table for 248 days and having an eight-point advantage at one stage in the season, Arsenal lost the championship to Pep Guardiola’s club due to a late collapse.

If the Arsenal are to catch up to City this season, they must bolster their team, and Declan Rice has been mentioned in connection with this.

They are also rumored to be interested in signing Joao Cancelo and Ilkay Gundogan from City after signing Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko in the previous summer.
