Fresneda also has an offer from Dortmund

Despite an offer from Arsenal, Ivan Fresneda has informed Real Valladolid supporters that he will not be leaving the team this month.

Due to Mikel Arteta being impressed by the 18-year-performances old’s this season, he has established himself as a regular in Jose Roko Martin’s squad.

According to reports, a cost of £13 million has been agreed upon by both the Gunners and Borussia Dortmund with the La Liga team for his services. The Bundesliga club feels they can provide a more direct path to the first team.

While both parties are reportedly willing to lending the player back to the Spanish team for the balance of the 2022–23 season, Valladolid is eager to keep the youngster at the club until the end of the season.

Fresneda was left out of Valladolid’s squad for their match against Valencia on Saturday, and despite growing rumors about his long-term future, he has reassured fans that he is not close to leaving.

The right-back was overheard saying, ‘No, I’m not leaving, calm down.’

It comes after Marca reported that any Fresneda deal has now been postponed until the summer.

The deal to bring Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo to Arsenal is the team’s primary concern right now. Brighton turned down a better offer of £70 million on Sunday night after the Premier League leaders had their £60 million deal rejected on Friday.

The north London club is now thinking about making a third offer for the 21-year-old midfielder with Brighton said to be seeking a whopping £90m this month, with the January transfer window set to close on Tuesday.

‘Caicedo is a very, very good guy,’ Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi said after the 2-1 win over Liverpool on Sunday. ‘I can understand him because when you are 21, and you receive the request of a big, big team that are playing in Europe, I can understand.

‘I would like that he can finish the season with us but we are ready to go forward without him. I think we need some players in some positions.

‘I spoke a lot of time with Tony (Bloom) he knows very well my opinion because we are a good team but we can improve also from the transfer market.

‘We lost Trossard, if we lose also Caicedo it can be a problem for us. If we want to fight for Europe, or the maximum on the table. If we want to stay like this (at our current level), we can. But I don’t like.’
