Chelsea Nears £19 Million Deal for Aston Villa’s Omari Kellyman

Chelsea Football Club is on the verge of securing a £19 million transfer deal for Aston Villa’s promising young talent, Omari Kellyman. The 18-year-old England Under-19 international has caught the attention of the Blues, who missed out on another target, Michael Olise, due to financial concerns.

Kellyman is set to discuss personal terms with Chelsea, a step that is not expected to pose any issues. If all goes well, he will undergo a medical examination before finalizing the move. The talented teenager is likely to sign a five- or six-year contract with the club.

Having made six first-team appearances at Villa Park, including two in the Premier League last season, Kellyman is poised to become Enzo Maresca’s second signing as Chelsea manager. The club has already secured Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham on a free transfer and agreed to a deal for Palmeiras wonderkid Estevao Willian, although the latter won’t join until next summer.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa has also been active in the transfer market, recently agreeing to a £37.5 million deal for Chelsea’s Ian Maatsen. The Dutch left-back only needs to finalize personal terms to complete his move to Villa Park. However, Borussia Dortmund’s attempts to turn Maatsen’s season-long loan into a permanent transfer have hit a stumbling block due to Chelsea’s asking price.
