Chelsea and West Ham, two London football clubs, are keeping an eye on Archie Brown, a defender from Gent. He’s valued at £15 million and is just 21 years old. Both teams are interested in getting a new left-back when the summer transfer window opens.

Other big clubs like Juventus, AC Milan, Nice, and Lyon are also thinking about making a move for Brown. It looks like there will be a lot of competition to sign him by the end of the season.

Chelsea needs someone to cover for Ben Chilwell, especially since Marc Cucurella might be leaving after being offered to other clubs last summer. Ian Maatsen is another option, but he could leave for £35 million due to a release clause in his contract. He’s currently on loan at Dortmund until 2026. Lewis Hall might also make his loan move to Newcastle permanent for £28 million, depending on certain conditions.

Meanwhile, West Ham is in search of a backup for Emerson Palmieri at left-back. Aaron Cresswell, who’s 34 years old, nearly joined Wolves last summer and might be ready to leave West Ham soon.

Brown used to play for Derby County before moving to Lausanne in 2021. After spending two years there, he joined Gent, a big team in Belgium. Originally a winger, Brown has been playing as a left-back and has appeared in 31 matches this season, including eight in the UEFA Conference League.
