The Blues might need to search for a new top striker this summer because a Napoli player is now wanted by Paris.

Chelsea is looking at other options besides Victor Osimhen, as Paris Saint-Germain is keen on him to fill Kylian Mbappe’s shoes.

Mbappe surprised PSG by saying he wants to leave the club without any transfer fee in the summer.

Real Madrid is eyeing Mbappe, who is considered one of the best players globally.

PSG tried to keep Mbappe, but they plan to use the money saved from his departure to strengthen their team.

Not re-signing Mbappe will save them around €200 million per season, as he is the highest-paid player in Europe.

Now, PSG is interested in Osimhen, who recently extended his contract with Napoli.

But, there’s a catch; his new deal includes a £113 million release clause. Osimhen and Napoli anticipate this clause being activated in the summer, with Chelsea also showing interest.

Both PSG and Madrid had backup plans to sign Osimhen, depending on what happens with Mbappe.

PSG’s sporting director Luis Campos is leading the charge in pursuing Osimhen. They are expected to compete with Chelsea, offering higher wages. Osimhen is likely to demand at least £250,000 per week.

Chelsea is also eyeing Ivan Toney from Brentford and Evan Ferguson from Brighton. They’ll keep exploring more options before summer.

To fund their ambitious plans of adding a new center-back, left-back, and top striker, Chelsea might need to sell some players to balance their finances.
