Chelsea received bad news about Christopher Nkunku’s injury just before their FA Cup match with Leeds on Wednesday.

Nkunku, a French player, played in the Carabao Cup Final against Liverpool on Sunday. He played for 23 minutes in regular time and the full 30 minutes of extra time. But now, he won’t be able to play for up to a month because of his injury.

Pochettino, Chelsea’s manager, talked to reporters before the FA Cup match. He said they are worried about Nkunku’s fitness and how he’s been playing lately.

“He’ll be out for three or four weeks,” Pochettino said. “We hope it won’t be longer than that.”

Pochettino mentioned that Nkunku was doing great in training before he got injured. But now, after almost eight months, he’s not the same player. Pochettino thinks it’s not fair to judge him based on how he’s playing now.

This is another setback for Nkunku, who has had a lot of injuries since joining Chelsea. He only started playing in December, even though he joined the team in the summer. He was also injured for most of January, and now he’s struggling with fitness again.

Nkunku will miss the FA Cup match against Leeds and maybe even the next one if Chelsea wins. He might also miss games against Brentford, Newcastle, and Arsenal in the Premier League before the Burnley match at the end of March.

Besides Nkunku, Marc Cucurella and Thiago Silva are also dealing with injuries. They are doing some training with the team but not fully. Several other players are still recovering from injuries as well.
