Chelsea lose Liverpool thriller as WSL title hopes dealt major blow

Chelsea had a really tough game against Liverpool in the Women’s Super League. They lost 4-3, which was a big setback for them. This loss means Manchester City is in a really good position to win the title.

Chelsea started well with a goal from Aggie Beever-Jones in the ninth minute. But then Liverpool fought back. They scored two goals, one from Sophie Roman Haug in the 51st minute and another from Gemma Bonner later on.

Chelsea didn’t give up, though. Beever-Jones scored again with just 10 minutes left of normal time. But Liverpool quickly responded with a goal from substitute Leanne Kiernan.

The game was intense, and with just a few minutes left, Teagan Micah accidentally scored an own goal for Chelsea, making the score even again. But Liverpool sealed the deal with a winning goal from Bonner in stoppage time.

Now, Chelsea has three more games to play, but they’re six points behind City. City only has two games left, so it’s going to be tough for Chelsea to catch up. They’ve been champions for the last four years, so it’s disappointing for them to be in this position.
