Mauricio Pochettino recently mentioned that he hasn’t directly talked to the owners of Chelsea for quite a while, which means it’s been a few months. This comes at a time when there’s a lot of pressure on him regarding his job.

Chelsea had a rough time recently, especially with their 5-0 loss to Arsenal, which is the worst they’ve had in a London derby since 1986. Adding to that, they were knocked out of the FA Cup last weekend, which dashed their hopes of winning any trophies this season and made it harder for them to qualify for European competitions.

Pochettino clarified that he hasn’t had any direct contact with Todd Boehly lately. Instead, any communication has been through the sporting directors, Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart. He mentioned that they haven’t exchanged words or messages themselves for a while, and their communication has been through these directors, but nothing has really changed in that regard.

He also defended Chelsea’s recent poor performance, saying that it’s not just him who should be held accountable. He emphasized that it seems like people are only looking at him to improve the situation, but in reality, everyone involved with the team needs to step up and show that they deserve to be part of the team next season. It’s not just about him, but about everyone taking responsibility and proving their worth for the future of the club.
