Chelsea Morale Lifted as James and Previously Sidelined Player Resume Training

Chelsea’s main man, Reece James, is on his way back after being sidelined with an injury. He’s been training with the team again, which is a big deal after his surgery five months ago for a problem with his hamstring.

This season, James has only played in eight Premier League games, but there’s hope he might get in on the action for the last three matches. If he does well, there’s even a chance he could make it to Euro 2024.

Coach Mauricio Pochettino mentioned that James might be ready to join the squad for the upcoming game against Nottingham Forest. Having your team captain back is a huge morale boost, according to him. Pochettino also emphasized that it’s tough coming back from a long injury, but having James around, even if it’s just for a short time on the field, would be fantastic.

Joining James in training is Lesley Ugochukwu, who got hurt back in December, and goalkeeper Robert Sanchez is getting closer to being fully back in action too.

The good news is that Chelsea’s injury list is getting shorter, with only six players still out. Levi Colwill, Malo Gusto, and Christopher Nkunku made their way back into the squad recently and might even start in the next game against Nottingham Forest.

Unfortunately, Enzo Fernandez, Wesley Fofana, Carney Chukwuemeka, Romeo Lavia, and Ben Chilwell are still sidelined.
