Thiago Silva is waiting to find out about his boo-boo, scared that he might not get to play anymore for Chelsea.

The 39-year-old defender, who said bye-bye to Chelsea on Monday with tears in his eyes, got a big owie during Saturday’s game against Aston Villa. He had to leave the game because of it.

Thiago is going to the doctor to see if he can play again this season. Chelsea has five more games to play, starting with one against Tottenham on Thursday. They really want to go to Europe.

Thiago hurt his boo-boo in February too and had to miss two games. His contract ends in June, and he’s talking to people about what to do next.

Thiago doesn’t want to stop playing yet. His old team, Fluminense, in Brazil, wants him to come back. AC Milan is also interested, and Thiago might stay in Europe or even in the Premier League.

Thiago joined Chelsea in 2020 without paying any money. He was part of the team that won the Champions League in 2021 and played 151 times for Chelsea.

At Villa Park, Thiago became the 13th player to get hurt, joining Enzo Fernandez, Raheem Sterling, and Malo Gusto, who are also hurt.

Christopher Nkunku, Reece James, and Levi Colwill were hurt too, but they are getting better and can join some team practices.

When asked if Christopher, Reece, and Levi could play against Tottenham, coach Mauricio Pochettino said, “We’ll see, not sure yet.
