Chelsea XI vs Everton: Predicted lineup and confirmed team news

Axel Disasi and Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea are dealing with injuries right now. This makes things tough for the team as they get ready to play against Everton at Stamford Bridge.
Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea’s coach, has a list of players who might not be able to play, and it’s up to 11 now. Along with Disasi and Fernandez, Raheem Sterling and Robert Sanchez are also hoping to recover from illness before the match on Monday.
Disasi hasn’t been able to practice since the last game against Sheffield United, and neither has Fernandez. Ben Chilwell is training partially with the team and might be able to sit on the bench.
Unfortunately, there are quite a few players still injured: Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Romeo Lavia, Christopher Nkunku, and Lesley Ugochukwu.
Despite Djordje Petrovic, the goalkeeper, not being in his best form lately, he’ll continue playing.
Malo Gusto will be back after resting on Sunday. He’ll be in defense with Trevoh Chalobah, Thiago Silva, and Marc Cucurella. These are the only senior defenders available for the match.
With Fernandez out, Moises Caicedo will play alongside Conor Gallagher in midfield. Chelsea might have an attacking lineup of Cole Palmer, Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, and Nicolas Jackson.
If Sterling gets better, he might also join the game. Here’s the expected lineup for Chelsea:
Starting XI: Petrovic, Gusto, Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Cucurella, Caicedo, Gallagher, Palmer, Mudryk, Madueke, Jackson
Injured players: James, Fofana, Ugochukwu, Lavia, Nkunku, Colwill, Disasi, Fernandez
Players with doubts: Sanchez and Sterling (both ill), Chilwell
The match is scheduled for 8 pm GMT on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Stamford Bridge in London. You can watch it on Sky Sports.
