Chelsea might have some trouble in the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool this Sunday. They might be missing eight players, including Thiago Silva, who hurt his groin a couple of weeks back. Along with him, Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, and Marc Cucurella could also be out, leaving the team with fewer choices for defense.

Additionally, midfielders Carney Chukwuemeka, Romeo Lavia, and Lesley Ugochukwu won’t be able to play. Liverpool isn’t in a much better situation, with players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, and Alisson Becker among their absentees. Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, and Dominik Szoboszlai will undergo late fitness checks.

Despite all this, Chelsea plans to stick with the same lineup as their last game. Djordje Petrovic will continue as goalkeeper, with a back four of Malo Gusto, Axel Disasi, Levi Colwill, and Ben Chilwell. Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, and Conor Gallagher will be in midfield, while Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson, and Raheem Sterling are expected to lead the attack.

On the bench, Christopher Nkunku, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Noni Madueke will be ready if needed. The predicted lineup for Chelsea is a 4-3-3 formation with the match kicking off at 3pm GMT on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Wembley Stadium. You can catch it on Sky Sports.
