Today, Chelsea is playing against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final, but they’re missing some key players. Thiago Silva, a veteran player from Brazil, couldn’t make it due to a groin injury he got almost two weeks ago. Alongside him, there are seven other players who are also out, like Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, and Marc Cucurella. This leaves the manager, Mauricio Pochettino, with not many choices for the defense.
Some midfielders, Carney Chukwuemeka, Romeo Lavia, and Lesley Ugochukwu, are also unavailable. However, Cucurella trained partially with the team on Friday. Chelsea’s lineup remains the same as last week’s draw against Manchester City, with
Djordje Petrovic as the goalkeeper and Malo Gusto, Axel Disasi, Levi Colwill, and Ben Chilwell forming the defense.
In the midfield, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, and Conor Gallagher are playing, while Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson, and Raheem Sterling are leading the attack. On the bench, there are players like Christopher Nkunku, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Noni Madueke available as options.
