Conte Wants Chelsea Striker Lukaku as His First Napoli Signing

Antonio Conte is excited to work with Romelu Lukaku again. They both helped Inter Milan win the Italian championship before.

Conte is now the boss at Napoli, and he’s made it a priority to bring Lukaku over from Chelsea.

Since leaving Tottenham in March 2023, Conte was waiting for the right opportunity and has now agreed to a three-year contract with Napoli.

Victor Osimhen, Napoli’s top scorer, might be moving on, and his high price tag has scared off some clubs, including Chelsea.

Napoli is looking for someone to fill Osimhen’s shoes, and Lukaku seems to be the perfect fit.

After a successful season on loan at Roma, where he scored 21 times, Lukaku is up for sale by Chelsea for £38m. He’s shown he likes playing in Italy and wants to stay.

Conte and Lukaku did great things at Inter Milan, winning the league in 2021. Conte got Lukaku in top form, and he scored 24 goals and made 11 assists.

Conte, who used to manage Chelsea, took Tottenham to fourth place in the Premier League in 2021-22, which got them back into the Champions League.

But the next season wasn’t as good, and after Conte had surgery in February 2023, things got tense with the Tottenham management, leading to his departure in March.
