Erling Haaland got a new muscle injury, which is bad news for Manchester City’s chances in the FA Cup and Premier League.

During a match on Wednesday, Haaland asked to be taken out of the game before it ended. This was right before Manchester City lost in the Champions League against Real Madrid.

Kevin De Bruyne also asked to be taken out of the game due to feeling tired.

Pep Guardiola, the manager, said Haaland “felt something” during the game. This means he might not be able to play in the upcoming matches against Chelsea and Brighton.

Guardiola mentioned that De Bruyne seems to be okay but Haaland might have some muscle problems. He said they’ll keep an eye on Haaland’s condition over the next few hours.

Guardiola explained that it’s normal for players to feel tired, especially with so many games and not enough time to rest. He mentioned that they can’t afford to feel sorry for themselves and they’ll think about things more in the summer.

In short, Guardiola emphasized that they need to focus on winning despite the setbacks.
