Fenerbahce’s top player, Michy Batshuayi, probably wanted everyone to talk about his winning goal in Sunday’s intense Turkish Super Lig game against Trabzonspor. But instead, people are sharing a video of him trying to kick a fan in the face after Trabzonspor supporters rushed onto the field when the game ended.

The match was chaotic, with Batshuayi scoring the winning goal in the 87th minute after Fred from Manchester United scored twice for Fenerbahce, and Trabzonspor’s Enis Bardhi and Trezeguet also found the net.

Before the game ended, fans were already throwing things onto the field while Fenerbahce players celebrated Batshuayi’s goal. After the final whistle, hundreds of Trabzonspor fans stormed onto the field at Papara Park in Trabzon, causing chaos.

TV cameras caught Batshuayi trying to kick one of the fans who had entered the field, and another fan punched Fenerbahce’s goalkeeper, Dominik Livakovic. Fortunately, the Fenerbahce team made it off the field without any serious injuries, although they were targeted with objects, including one fan who tried to use the corner flag as a weapon.

This isn’t the first time such violence has marred Turkish football. Previously, during a game between Ankaragucu and Rizespor, the referee was punched by the club president of Ankaragucu.

Turkish politicians have called for an investigation into these disgraceful incidents. Ali Yerlikaya, the Interior Minister of Turkey, emphasized that violence has no place in sports, as sports are supposed to promote good sportsmanship.
