Cesc Fabregas has his eyes set on managing a team in the Premier League someday. He used to play for Arsenal and Chelsea but retired last summer. Right now, he’s working as a coach for a team called Como in Serie B.
Fabregas really wants to become a coach. Last season, he spent time at Arsenal helping out with training sessions for the Under-18 team, which got Arsenal fans excited about the idea of him coming back to coach. But Fabregas wants to be the head coach, not just an assistant.
He said, “You never know what will happen in the future, but my dream is to be the main coach of a top team in the Premier League and the Champions League.” He feels like he’s ready to be a head coach already, so he doesn’t want to start with smaller coaching roles or being an assistant. He’s clear about his goal of being the main coach of a top team, and he’ll keep working towards that until he’s ready.
Fabregas feels grateful for the chance Como has given him to start his coaching career, and he’s happy where he is for now. He knows he still has a lot to learn before he can reach his dream of coaching in the big leagues.
