Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has expressed his confidence and ambition after scoring the decisive goal in a 1-0 win over Fulham on Saturday.

The victory was Chelsea’s fourth consecutive home win in the league, a feat they had not achieved since July 2020. The result also lifted them to the ninth spot in the table as of Today, Three points behind Sixth-placed West Ham United.

However, Palmer is not satisfied with the current position and wants to see more improvement from his team. He told the club’s website:

“We have a lot of quality in the squad, but we are not where we want to be. We have to keep working hard and getting points to move up the table. We have shown some good form lately, but we need to maintain it and have a strong second half of the season.”

Palmer also revealed that he has put behind the disappointment of missing chances in the 1-0 loss against middlesbrough fc on Tuesday. He said:

“I’m a confident player and I trust myself. I had a bad game in the week, but I learned from it and moved on. I was happy to score the penalty today and help the team win.”

Chelsea and Palmer will have some time to rest and prepare for the second leg of their EFL Cup quarter-final against middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge next week.
