Leicester boss ‘surprised’ with Casadei recall

Following the 1-1 draw with Ipswich in the Championship, Leicester manager Enzo Maresca spoke to the media.

He revealed his shock at Chelsea’s recall of Cesare Casadei, the midfielder who was on loan at his side. Casadei is unable to play for the blues until the end of January because he is cup tied, which made Maresca wonder.

He said to the press (via Mail Online) after Monday’s game, “We didn’t see it coming that Casadei would return to Chelsea. They have the right to do that, we have no say in it. We cope with it and we try to find a solution before the transfer window shuts.”

Casadei has featured in 22 games for the Championship frontrunners, netting 2 goals in the league. His last goal was in Leicester’s FA Cup win over Millwall.
