Great news from the world of soccer! Chelsea, a top team from England, has made some friends down in Brazil while sorting out Thiago Silva’s future. Here’s the scoop: Thiago Silva, a defender, will be leaving Chelsea when his contract ends this season. But he’s already set to join Fluminense, a Brazilian club, on a two-year deal.

Now, here’s where things get interesting. Even though Thiago Silva’s contract isn’t up yet, Chelsea is letting him go early. This means he can start training with his new team right after Chelsea’s season ends this month. Pretty cool, right?

The president of Fluminense, Mario Bittencourt, had some really nice things to say about Chelsea. He praised how Chelsea handled the whole deal with Thiago Silva. In fact, he was so impressed that he invited Chelsea to play a friendly match at Maracana Stadium, one of Brazil’s most famous venues.

Bittencourt said, “We really like Chelsea. They treated us well during the negotiations. They weren’t stubborn at all. They even let Thiago Silva wear their jersey before he officially joined us. We feel a connection with Chelsea because our club has English roots. They showed us a lot of respect and kindness. I’m a Chelsea fan myself when I’m in England, and they really impressed me.”

Wouldn’t it be awesome if Chelsea and Fluminense could play a friendly match in each other’s countries? Bittencourt thinks so too. He said, “If the schedule allows it, it would be amazing to see Chelsea play at Maracana. It would help create a bond between our clubs.”

To top it off, Chelsea is planning some special tributes to honor Thiago Silva’s four years with the team. They’ll do this during their last home game of the season against Bournemouth.
