Khvicha Kvaratskhelia won’t be sold, according to Napoli sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli who also denied Newcastle’s alleged interest in the winger.

WHAT TRANSPIRED?: Kvaratskhelia, a 21-year-old winger, is reportedly a £50 million target for Newcastle United, but Napoli have declared they have absolutely no interest in moving the player. Giuntoli, the club’s sporting director, has stated that even if they receive a sizable offer for the Georgian international, they will not sell.

“Newcastle interest in Kvaratskhelia? There is absolutely no chance of us letting him leave, regardless of how much the offer is,” he told SportExpress.

THE BROAD VIEW: Kvaratskhelia, who joined Napoli from Georgian team Dinamo Batumi in the summer, has made just 17 appearances for the Italian club in all competitions while recording eight goals and eight assists. The teenage player, who has helped Napoli reach the top of the Italian table, has even earned the moniker “Kvaradona” in honor of club hero Diego Maradona.

NEXT MOVE FOR KHVICHA KVARATSKHELIA: Kvaratskhelia signed a five-year contract with Napoli in the summer, but if the young player keeps up his impressive play for the Serie A team, the club may find it difficult to hold on to him.
